Time Tunnel
Journey through a historic surface tunnel that has been transformed into an immersive experience. With the help of digital technology, sounds, smells, and touch, you will uncover the story of one of history's most important industries – coal mining. Former miners will bring this incredible experience to life through their first-hand accounts of working in England's coalfields.
- Please note that that you must report to Reception 30 minutes before the start of your Time Tunnel experience.
- The experience is suitable for wheelchair users.
- Warm clothing and sensible footwear are recommended.
- Please note that guide dogs and assistance dogs are not allowed for this experience.
- This experience contains flashing lights and sound effects, so may not be suitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy or heart conditions. If you have any concerns, or questions, please contact us and we will be happy to advise.
- As a sensory experience, the tunnel may be overwhelming for those who experience sensory differences. At one point sound, smells and lights will be used to showcase an 'explosion'.
